Servers and Blades

Derive Technologies™ has supported data centers for more than three decades. Alongside of our Tier One Alliance Partner, Hewlett-Packard® (HP®), and other world class technology manufacturers, we provide agile, cost and management-effective, and environmentally friendly, enterprise server and blade server solutions.

Our solutions offer the key ingredients to the success, growth, and future progression of the of the modern data center to virtualization and cloud solutions. This begins, according to HP, with “enterprise agility.” It enables levels of scalability to support data, applications and all business services in traditional and newer paradigms. “Enterprise agility,” HP’s words, is “a fundamental requirement—along with innovation, optimization and risk—to capitalize successfully on these trends. Agility drives new products and services, productivity enhancements and new ways to approach customers and citizens. It can determine whether a company misses a major opportunity or leaps ahead of the pack.”

We follow the models of HP and our other information technology infrastructure manufacturer partners to, as HP puts it:

  1. “Transform rigid IT silos into integrated solutions, with a common architecture, management and security.”

  2. "Standardize and virtualize infrastructure components to increase utilization, flexibility and resilience.”

  3. "Accelerate “IT responsiveness and enables rapid scaling, delivering agility at the enterprise level.”

Derive’s solutions – leading with HP ProLiant® enterprise server technologies and the unique HP BladeSystem® family of products – meet the needs  of corporate, government and other public sector enterprises of all sizes. We implement these technologies with comprehensive services, including advanced technology, fiscally responsible purchasing and leasing, and cost-effective support solutions, which adapt to any business requirement.

HP ProLiant Enterprise Servers

Derive, HP and our other data center technology solution partners, in HP’s words, “break down technology silos to bring all IT resources together into virtualized pools of assets that can be shared by many applications and managed as a service. This architecture goes beyond the current virtualization of servers, storage systems, and network connections. It brings together management tools, policies, and processes so resources can be managed in a holistic and integrated manner. It also brings together power and cooling practices so systems and facilities work synergistically to extend the life of your data center.”

We lead in the traditional data center with the HP ProLiant server portfolio, which “doubles the performance of previous server generations and adds a wide range of innovative features that help you gain more value out of every IT dollar.” With HP, we “deliver major advances in energy efficiency, virtualization, and management. We combine these innovations with comprehensive financing programs and service offerings to redefine server economics.”

Blade Solutions

With Derive’s partner, HP, we bring our customers the unique BladeSystem® solution, “the industry’s only Converged Infrastructure architected for any workload from client to cloud.” HP describes the solution in the following manner: “A blade is literally a self-contained server, which collectively fits into an enclosure with other blades. Sometimes known as a blade chassis, this enclosure provides the power, cooling, connectivity, and management to each blade. The blade servers themselves contain only the core processing elements, making them hot-swappable. HP refers to the entire package as a BladeSystem.” This, along with Derive’s implementation, support and purchasing and leasing solutions, empowers “business innovation” and “eliminates sprawl.”

Derive’s HP’s BladeSystem implementations, along with our support services and other complimentary technologies for the data center, meet all needs surrounding, in HP’s words, “space, power consumption savings, ease of scalability, cable reduction, hot-swapping, reliability, and redundancy.”
