Director, Business Development, Health Care and Public Sector

William Rochford provides solution sales and technology leadership for Derive Technologies’ health care and public sector initiatives under the direction of vice president, Bill Eggers. He joined the company in 2011.

Mr. Rochford possesses more than 20 years of experience in technology management and consulting, with extensive knowledge of health care technology. Before coming to Derive, he was Director of Technical Infrastructure for New York’s renowned Mt. Sinai Medical Center, managing, hands-on, the design, development, implementation, risk management, testing, and compliance of clinical information system applications, and supporting core IT infrastructure. Prior to this, Mr. Rochford oversaw, and provided IT infrastructure leadership for, the implementation of the Eclipsys (now Allscripts) electronic medical records application for the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System.

The first half of Mr. Rochford’s career was in the energy sector, as a systems engineer, manager, and, ultimately, Director, of technology infrastructure for KeySpan Energy Corporation.

Mr. Rochford was educated in Long Island, New York, and holds numerous professional and technical certifications.
