Director of Services

Steve Weissman is Derive Technologies’ Director of Services. He joined the company in the year, 2000.

Mr. Weissman is responsible for the delivery of all technology services to Derive’s clients, and supports CTO, Darius Stafford, in developing the company's service offerings and expansion in the technical services marketplace. Mr. Weissman is responsible for the management of Derive’s Professional Services team, overseeing more than 100 professionals in meeting service-level agreements (SLAs) and other contractual commitments for the company’s clients, supporting the internal technology and pre-sales IT consulting needs of Derive’s Sales and Marketing teams, and ensuring that all members of the company receive required technical certifications.

Under Mr. Weissman’s direction, Derive has built a comprehensive technology services program, including an escalation process that provides a consistent support delivery model across the organization for solving complex problems quickly and efficiently. He has also been responsible for the launch of a full-scale managed service provider (MSP) program, including network and data monitoring solutions, and remote and onsite technical remediation.

Prior to his employment with Derive Technologies, Mr. Weissman was General Services Manager for the New York region for MicroAge, Inc. (a Fortune 500 company).

Mr. Weissman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Brooklyn College. In addition to having achieved master-level certification with all of Derive’s major technology alliance partners, Mr. Weissman has completed advanced Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification for Information Technology Services Management (ITSM), Information Technology (IT) development and IT operations. He is also CompTIA certified.
